Here are some instructions for doing work on CUBAs or final exams, and receiving the proper flex or pay for your work.

The attached file (also excerpted below) outlines how many hours the district can compensate you for work on an exam or CUBA.

Other than brand-new courses, we get eight hours for each exam and four hours for each CUBA, whether they are done for flex, pay or a combination of the two.

If you have colleagues working with you, that is preferable (at least to have someone spend an hour to review your work).

Please make sure that your hours and other colleagues' hours don’t add up to more than 8 hours for an exam revision (or 4 hours for a CUBA revision) on the proposal (for flex) or timesheet (for pay).

For the hours you would like to earn PAY, notify me so I can keep track of which exams or CUBAs are being revised.
After that, just submit a (yellow) payroll time sheet to me at the ESC, along with the completed assessment, and I’ll sign it and pass it along.

For the hours you would like to earn FLEX, notify me so I can keep track of which exams or CUBAs are being revised.
After that, please go to www.mylearningplan.com, sign in, and create an individual flex proposal that says which final exam or CUBA you will be revising, and how many hours YOU will spend. I will already have you in my records from when you contacted me, but entering this information in the proposal lets the Supervisor of Curriculum and the Managers of Professional Development and Assessment know your plans. When you finish, send me the completed assessment and we will credit you the flex.
